1. INTRODUCTION

BiditPro LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the BidItPro mobile applications and website (collectively, the "Platform").

By using BidItPro, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Platform.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

Account Information:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (required for verification)

For Homeowners:

  • Service address(es)
  • Job descriptions and service requests
  • Photos of property (for job posts)
  • Communication preferences

For Contractors:

  • Service areas and types offered
  • Insurance documentation (optional, for trust badge verification)
  • License numbers (where applicable)
  • Payment information for bid credits and subscriptions (processed by Stripe)

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our Platform, we automatically collect:

  • Device information (type, operating system, unique identifiers)
  • IP address and general location data
  • App usage data and interaction patterns
  • Push notification tokens
  • Crash reports and performance data

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Payment processing data from Stripe
  • Analytics data from service providers
  • Verification data for Contractor insurance (when provided)

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use collected information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Facilitate connections between homeowners and Contractors
  • Process bid credit purchases and subscription payments
  • Send notifications about jobs, bids, and messages
  • Verify Contractor credentials and insurance documentation (when provided)
  • Improve and optimize our Platform
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations
  • Respond to customer support requests
  • Send administrative communications
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. PII PROTECTION SYSTEM

BidItPro employs an automatic Personal Identifiable Information (PII) filtering system to help maintain platform integrity.

Pre-Acceptance Protection:

  • Phone numbers, email addresses, and social media handles may be automatically redacted from messages between homeowners and Contractors during the bidding process
  • This helps maintain the integrity of the bidding process and protects both parties

Post-Acceptance Access:

Once a homeowner accepts a Contractor's bid, full messaging is unlocked and both parties have access to each other's contact information to coordinate service delivery directly.

5. INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

5.1 With Other Users

  • Job details and photos are visible to Contractors in the service area
  • Contractor profiles, ratings, reviews, and insurance badge status are visible to homeowners
  • Contact information is shared after bid acceptance

5.2 With Service Providers

  • Stripe for payment processing
  • Cloud hosting providers (Supabase/AWS)
  • Analytics providers
  • Push notification services

5.3 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

5.4 Business Transfers

If BiditPro LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. DATA RETENTION

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specific retention periods:

  • Account data: Until account deletion, plus 30 days for backup recovery
  • Job and bid history: 3 years after completion for dispute resolution
  • Messages: 2 years after last activity
  • Payment records: 7 years for tax and legal compliance
  • Analytics data: 2 years in aggregated form

7. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information through your account settings or by contacting us.

Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements).

Data Portability: Request your data in a portable format.

Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications (you will still receive essential service notifications).

Push Notifications: Disable push notifications through your device settings.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

BidItPro is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete that information promptly.

10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES

Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.

11. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Right to know what personal information is collected, used, and shared
  • Right to delete personal information
  • Right to opt-out of sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)

BidItPro is operated from the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from your country.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on the Platform and updating the "Effective Date." Your continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
