BIDITPRO MESSAGING & ANTI-CIRCUMVENTION POLICY

Effective Date: April 2, 2026

1. OVERVIEW

This Policy explains how messaging works on BidItPro and why protecting the integrity of the bid credit economy is essential. BidItPro's revenue comes from bid credit purchases and subscription fees paid by Contractors. This revenue model enables us to provide the platform completely free to homeowners. Protecting the bidding process and the platform's integrity ensures a fair, sustainable marketplace for all users.

2. MESSAGING STATES

Pre-Acceptance State: Before a homeowner accepts a bid, communication between homeowners and Contractors is limited to the bidding interface. Messages may be filtered to automatically remove personal identifiable information (PII) including: phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles, website URLs, physical addresses, and any coded attempts to share contact information. This filtering helps maintain the integrity of the bidding process.

Post-Acceptance State: After a homeowner accepts a Contractor's bid, full messaging is unlocked. Both parties can: exchange phone numbers and email addresses; share any contact information freely; communicate through any preferred method; and coordinate service details directly.

3. AUTOMATIC PII FILTERING

Our system may automatically scan pre-acceptance messages and filter: phone numbers in any format; email addresses; social media usernames (@handles); URLs and website addresses; and patterns that appear to be coded contact information. Filtered content is replaced with [FILTERED] to indicate removal. This protects the integrity of the bidding process and the platform's marketplace model.

4. WHY THIS MATTERS

The bid credit economy and subscription system: keep BidItPro free for homeowners; provide qualified leads to Contractors; ensure a fair and competitive bidding process; fund platform development and support; and create a sustainable business model. Circumventing the platform undermines the marketplace for all users by threatening the platform's ability to operate and provide value.

5. PROHIBITED CIRCUMVENTION METHODS

The following are strictly prohibited during the bidding process (before bid acceptance):

Direct Sharing: Attempting to share phone numbers, emails, or other contact info in any format.

Coded Language: Using creative spelling, word substitution, or codes (e.g., "five five five, one two three, four five six seven" for a phone number).

External Platforms: Directing users to find you on social media, business directories, or other websites to arrange services outside BidItPro.

In-Person Requests: Asking to meet in person to exchange information before bid acceptance.

Third-Party Communication: Using someone else to relay contact information.

Cancel and Reconnect: Encouraging homeowners to cancel jobs and contact you directly outside the platform, thereby avoiding the use of bid credits.

Multi-Account Abuse: Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free bid credits or to circumvent account restrictions.

6. DETECTION AND MONITORING

We employ multiple methods to detect circumvention attempts: automated pattern detection; machine learning analysis; user reports; manual review of flagged content; and behavioral analysis. Sophisticated attempts to evade detection are treated more severely.

7. CONSEQUENCES OF VIOLATIONS

First Offense: Warning and education about the policy.

Second Offense: Temporary suspension (7-30 days) and forfeiture of remaining bid credits.

Third Offense: Permanent account termination.

Egregious Violations: Immediate permanent termination and potential legal action.

Additionally, Contractors who violate this policy forfeit any remaining bid credits, active subscription benefits, and pending refunds.

8. REPORTING CIRCUMVENTION

If another user attempts to circumvent platform policies: do not respond with your contact information; report the user through the app; include screenshots if possible; and email support@bidit.pro for serious violations. Users who report violations in good faith are protected from retaliation.

9. LEGITIMATE COMMUNICATION

Before bid acceptance, you MAY discuss: job details and requirements; pricing and bid clarifications; scheduling availability (general); questions about the work; and Contractor qualifications and experience. This ensures productive communication while protecting the platform.

10. AFTER BID ACCEPTANCE

Once a homeowner accepts a Contractor's bid: all messaging restrictions are lifted; contact information may be freely exchanged; users may communicate through any channel; and the relationship continues directly between the parties.
